WELCOME TO MY KITCHEN! Thank you for taking the time to stop by and see what I have to say. By whatever means you are here, I hope to inspire you as you browse around.
I am also new to blogging. While I love to scavenge other people’s blogs, I am somewhat of a novice blog creator…please bear with me. I hope that by taking the time to share with you my latest adventures around the kitchen {and into little bits of other creativities} I will not only increase my abilities in the kitchen itself but also my abilities as a blogger as well.
So let me delve right in and tell you about this kitchen renovation that started it all. My hubs and I bought our current home in 2003. The kitchen was terrible!
Yes, it was functional but it wasn’t much fun. There were old cabinets and awful laminent countertops. It came with an old white humming refrigerator and electric stove. Some of the very first things we did when we moved in was to buy new large appliances for the kitchen. That’s where the LG came in. Our kitchen was fitted for natural gas already so it was a no brainer that our new range would be gas. What a luxury! It really makes all the difference and we have enjoyed it tremendously. We have since gutted the place, essentially, and replaced everything. Now it’s clean, crisp, functional and oh so cozy for cooking! Our kitchen now features cabinetry from Martha Stewart’s kitchen line, a Bosch stainless steel dishwasher {L.O.V.E}, LG range, Amana stainless steel refrigerator and stainless steel hood from IKEA. The hubs poured custom concrete countertops in a rich grey color featuring just the slightest hint of green {you’d never see the green unless you placed a very cool colored charcoal next to it}.
{I actually still need to take some “final shot” pictures. The moulding above these cabinets is uninstalled and the fir ledges on the left hand side are not in either}
If you’d like further details on any of these items please let me know and I’d be happy to share their sources with you!
